Seattle, WA, June 10, 2008 –(PR.com)– On demand applicant tracking software company Catch the Best announced the addition of automatic applicant questionnaire functionality.

“We are always striving to enhance the hiring process for our current and future customers by incorporating requested functionality that aligns with our vision of a simple, effective applicant tracking and resume management solution,” said Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, Mike Wagner.

The questionnaire functionality allows users to add related questions with free-form, single choice, or multiple choice response options to specific positions. Once the position has questions associated with it, those questions will be displayed on the web submission form for applicants. The candidate’s answers will then be stored and visible in the applicant detail page.

“You’re hired

www.catchthebest.com

If you’re on the other side of the job-seeking equation and are hiring new staff, then a useful tool to help manage your applicants is a website with the encouraging name Catch the Best.

When you list your positions online, Catch the Best gives you unique submission email and Web addresses for each one.

If you are posting the ad on multiple job boards, your own company website or Craigslist, then these unique addresses let you easily track where your applicants are coming from. This will help you eliminate sites that don’t send you qualified leads so that you can streamline future hiring.

People in your company who have access to the site can rate applicants with a thumbs-up or -down as they review the resumés. This lets you easily see which applicants are most suited for the job. You can click on each applicant’s name to see the information they submitted when they filled in your online application.

To help you post job ads on your own site or any forum, social network or job board where you can drop in some HTML, Catch the Best gives you a javascript widget that you can paste into these pages. This gives you the ability to cast your net far and wide.”

I recently added the ability to take job applicant submissions via the web in addition to via email. Now each position has a unique URL to which you can send applicants to submit their applications. Additionally, each source (such as Monster, Craigslist, etc.) has its own unique URL as well.

These job- and source-specific URLs allow you to get the most accurate source tracking info available in any applicant tracking system, and there is almost no set-up involved. Once you create your open position, just add the sources you want to track directly from the position detail page, and the URLs will be created on the fly.
